Messrs Barton and Ko?s Ltd.. the well-known Waikato furnishers, advertise in another column their capacity and willingness to supply any household furniture wants. Luyeis will do well to consult Messrs Barton and Ross Ltd.
As engineers and millwrights Messrs Collett and Son, Ltd., are h'-st known. During a long experience of Dannevirke in the days of its sawmilling greatness, Messrs Lollett anu Son made a thorough study of the sawmilling needs with the result that the business grew and prospered, and the sawmiller found himself always a possessor of the latest and most ad vanced ideas in machinery, lhe fum has an extensive branch in launiuvunui, and now draw attention to their "Double - purchase" patent friction winch, so useful in saving labour in the handling of logs and flitches on the breaking-down bench. The Commercial Ilotel, Te Awamutu, is now in the capable hands of Mr W. G. Abbott, late of the Ohaupo Hotel. Te Awamutu is only some twenty odd miles from Te Kuiti, and affords pleasant change to those needing a brief rest. The Commercial Hotel is famed for the excellent accommodation provided, and those who had occasion to visit the Ohaupo Hotel in Mr Abbott's day will be glad, no doubt, to know of his present whereabouts.
There aro few country stores carrying larger stocks than Messrs Larl and Earl, of Otorohanga. Agricultural lines such as fencing wire, roofing iron, manures, in addition to extensive selections of boots and shoes and groceries, are here procurable, of the best quality and at most reasonable prices. Messrs Dunn Bros, are now proprietors of tne Carbine stables in Taumarunui. These stables aie situated close to the Railway Station, and within easy access of the travelling public. Horses and gigs are always available, and coaches for Manunui run at such intervals as is found suitable for residents and visitors. An exceedingly cool and refreshing drink having the approval of the prohibition party may be purchased for threepence in the town of Taumarunui. Mr A. Corringhnm has just purchased a "Censol" soda fountain, and a varied supply of drinks sucn as lemon, lemon squash, kola, raspberry, and endless others row delight the public. Mr Corringham uses only the finest essences, thone of May, of London, world-famous manufacturers, being mostly used in connection with the Syphon. Bricks are in great demand jusl now owing to the extensive building going on on the Main Trunk line. It will therefore be good news to many to know that Mr James Slums has established a brick yard at Manunui. Mr Shears is one of the most experienced brickmakera in the Dominion, and has also earned a high reputation in the manufacture of Held tiles. Those communicating with him, will find that his charges are moderate, both for bricks and tiles. Te Kuiti Building and Plumbing Company, Taupiri street, are now in a position to undertake work of any description in connection with the building and plumbing trade. Ihe workshop is fitted with the most up-to-date machinery and the company guarantees to turn out lirst-dass. work at reasonable prices. Dairying utensils both making and repairing are a specialty and jobbing work is undertaken. The company may be recommended for sound conscientious work. As stated there are many of these milkers working on farms around Te Awamutu, Loton.a and neighbourhod, aid intending purchasers are referred to the dairymen using them for information as to their

He has found it necessary, owing to increased business, to increase his stall and also instal another chair in the saloon. Mr C. B. Lever notifies that he wiH bold sales of fruit and sundries in his mart, King street, every Wednesday and Saturday afternoons. Jam-makers should make a note of this. Mr J. K. Graham ha 3 been favoured with instructions from Messrs Gifiord and Dunkley, of Te Awamutu.who are retiring from business, to sell by public auction without reserve, all their well-known stock of men's mercery and general drapery. This presents a rare opportunity to the settlers of the surrounding district to buy good, isei'ul stuff at theii own figures.
