ttvrrmnc known that kerosene emulsion is sin excellent insecticide, but. it is apt to be rather troublesome to maiic, owing' to the case with which, the oil separates from the soap solution. Professor Mac mm, of Canada, hrs crTon'mentcd en substitutes for the soan, and has obtained ey.;c!l-nt results by usine; four. It is claimed for this form of kerosene emulsion that it is easier to make, and remains without Llv? scpara! ion longer than wh:n rale with soap. Of course the oU will float, to the top if it be 1 ft too loi'.u', hut the eniuls : on will keep for some hours in & state lit to use.
