The rainfall in Te Kuiti i'or the 11 months to December 81st, since Mr T. E. Koy has been keeping the record, amounts to 51.22 inches. Adding, say. 1 inches as the fall i'or last .lanuary. we get .">.22 inches in a period of" 12 months. The fall, which is a fairly heavy one, occurred on 357 day?, allowing 10 days for January, but as 23 of these clays recorded .05 or less of a fall, the really wet days only amounted to 181 for the year. This compares more than favourably with moat places. In the first- place the total fall is a good one. In the second place it falls on fewer days, in Waikato, for example, the i:umber of days on which ,-ain falls is generally over 200 in tho year, yet the total 4 'a'.l L. not so great as ours. The following is the rainfall for December, kindly supplied by Mr T. E.
