The Champion Teams' Match, for Ihe shield presented by the business people of Tauniarunui, was contested by teams from Taumarunui, Ohinemuri No. o and Ohura. The last mentioned which has been well coached by that veteran shot MiGeorge Loveday carried oil' the honour with an aggregate of i!0li Tauniarunui being second wtih ;Joo and Ohineiruiri team scored !2!>S.
