ENTERTAINMENTS.
"MRS STICKERS' GUESTS."
On Saturday evening the Marist Brothers' Old Boys' Concert Company appeared in the Town Hall, Te Kuiti, in the above musical extravaganza, and were greeted by a fairly large audience. The singing throughout was gocd, and the choruses were well rendered. Among the songs, "The Toreador Song," by Mr S. Pritchard. deserves special mention, as also does Mr A. I.ennon's rendering of •"fbora." The audience loudly applauded the humorous items, which included "Shame on You," by Jasper Johnston (Mr Uervum), and "Little Black Cupid," by Dinah (Mr Ilutcheson). Mrs Stickers, characterised by Mr Lomally, was a host of some ability, and though at times the masculine actions were visible, the part was well sustained. "She" was attired in the fashionable "hobble" skirt, which, indeed looked grotesque. A dance followed the entertainment, the Marin Brothers supplying the music, while extras were played by Misses Stuart and King.
