TRAINING CAMP ARRANGED. IMPORTANT APPOINTMENTS. |HY TKLKGNAI'II.- I'RKSS ASSOCIATION.] Wellington, Last Night. Major General Godley is now directly responsible for the efficiency of the forces, and the direction of military affairs. The position of Chief of the General Staff, hitherto held by Colonel Robin, is no longer necessary. The Commandant has recommended the appointment of Colonel Robin as Adjut-ant-General, a position which, under the new scheme, will be a more important one than before. The service will then be divided into four branchoH as follows:- Military training and education, Lieut.-Col. E. S. H*"»rd; military operations and intelligence, Lieut.-Col. J. T. Burnett Stuart, D.5.0.; ordinance, Lieut.-Col. H. T. Had; N.Z.M., Adjutant - General Lieut.-Col. A. W. Robin, C.B. Lieut.-Col. Tuson held the office as Adjutant-General under the Defence Council until about seven months ago, and since his departure for England Captain Seddon has carried out the duties of the position. The Commandant has been reviewing the personnel of the Headquarters' Staff, and it is likely several other changes will soon be made. Major-General Godley has been reviewing applications for the positions of area officers and non-eommisßioned officers, in coniiction with the compulsory training of y>.ung men in tho Dominion, and will probably announce tiie appointments in a few days.
