The Labour Party held a conversazione for the purpose of farewelling Messrs Fowlds and Fisher. Several Labour members were present. Tho chairman said they were interested in the Australian Government being for the first time in history a representative Government mannei from their own ranks. It; had shown they wen capable of legislation as well as others. Mr Fisher, in his reply referred to the lack of organisation and the conflicting views held by the Labourites in different parts of South Africa. He emphasised the need for unity and a coherent poilcy.
