TOO MUCH "TAIHOA."
To the Editor. Sir,—l wish you would give the Department a rub about the metal. I see they are just starting to shift the crusher with two labourers. That means that there will be no metal on this side of Christmas. Why did they not get Mr Rothery and his men'/ They would have the whole thing down and rigged up again in a fortnight, and then we should have seen a few yards of metal on by Christmas instead of dawdling and killing time. It is enough to sicken all the settlers away back here to see the deliberate shuffling going on over this very important matter. A good metal road is an asset to any country.—l am, etc, KAEAEA.
