WEDDING.

A very quiet wedding was celebrated in Te Kuiti on Wednesday, when Walter George, eldest son of Mr W. Tinkler, of Hull, England, was united in the holy bonds of matrimony to Margaret Elizabeth, eldest daughter of Thomas and Harriet West, of Thornton Curtis, Lincolnshire, England. The ceremony took place in the Anglican Church, the officiating clergyman being Kev. E. S. Wayne. The bride looked charming, becomingly attired in white silk, with the orthodox veil and orange blossoms, and carried a lovely bouquet of sweet peas. The bride was attended by Miss McKone, as bridesmaid, who wore pale green crepe de chene, with a white hat trimmed with sweet peas. The bridegroom was supported by Mr W. Fullerton, ns best man. After the ceremony the happy couple were the recipients of many valuable presents and tokens of goodwill, the bridegroom being well and popularly known in Te Kuiti and surrounding district, having been a resident here for some considerable time. In the evening there was a large gathering at the residence of the newly-wedded couple, when their health was drunk in bumpers, many speeches being made and responded to. The "Chronicle" joins with their many friends in wishing them long life and happiness.
