STRIKERS AND BLACK LEGS.
TRAINS SEARCHED. By Telegraph.- Pros- Association. Cop\-rislit Received November 22, 1030. p.m. London, Yesterday. The strikers in South Wales are holding up and searching trains for black legs. They threaten to destroy the rai's if black legs are carried. The manager of the Tall' Yale railway demands the protection of the travelling public. Daily outrages and intimidations occur in the Ehondda Valley where workmen have been thrown into the river and officials and their families harrassed.
POLICE CHARGE AND ARE STONED. MILITARY SUMMONED. Received November 28. 8.50 a.m. London, Yesterday. The search by strikers for black legs at Tonypandy railway station, led to renewed riots. The police charged, and the strikers replied by pelting the police with stones and bricks. A local constable was struck on the head, and a metropolitan policeman sustained concussion of the brain. The Lancashire Fusiliers, the Hussars and the West Riding regiment have been summoned. Their presence is overawing the strikers.
