MARAKOPA CARNIVAL.

By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent. Marakopa, This Day."" The carnival was continued on Saturday in fine weather A cricket match. Bushmen v. Marakopa, resulted in a win for the latter by the narrow margin of 5 runs. The visitors were captained by Bockett and the home team by W. F. Dines. For the winners Wynyard was top scorer, with Percy Bell next. Matheson and Howes bowled well. For the losers Lovelock, King and Buick were most prominent. In the afternoon a football match, Harihari v. Marakopa, resulted in a win for the home team by 9 points to 3. Mr Wynyard controlled the game. In the evening the visitors gave a return smoke concert, presided over by Mr L. Harris. Songs and recitations were given by Messrs Old, Bury, Buick, Lovelock, Matheson, Templeman, Ogilvie, Dines and the chairman. The usual toasts were honoured.
