GOVERNOR'S SECRETARY'S SALARY.
n.y Telegraph- PrcH*Association.—Copyright Received November 2, 8.20 a.m. Adelaide, This Day. In the Legislative Assembly the Treasurer stated the Governor, rather than there shouM be any controversy, had asked that the extra vote of £SCO for the payment of his private secretary and typist be withdrawn. The Treasurer declared the Government had a majority sufficient to carry the vote, but in respect of the Governor's wishes the item was withdrawn.
