SOUTH AUSTRALIA DEFEAT VICTORIA. By Telegraph.—Press Association.—Cop.vriß.lit Received November 1, 10.40 p.m. Adelaide, Last Night. Victoria in their second innings made 305, Kortlang not out 69. The remainder of the wickets added sixteen runs only. Rees captured 4 wickets for Whitty 2 for 68, Crawford 2 for 88, Hewer i for 13, Wright 1 for 52.
South Australia, in their second innings, had 4 wickets down for 202. C. Hill 68, Crawford 23, Gehrs not out 100. Armstrong took 3 wickets for GB, Kenny 2 for 1 for 85. The match was won by South Australia by 6 wickets.
SOUTH AFRICAN CRICKETERS. Sydney, Last Night The South Africans are holding two extended practice spells daily, under match conditions. It is noticeable that they are bowling a bit short owing to being accustomed to matting wickets, but they are rapidly becoming accustomed to the new conditions.
