An attempt by Mr Koss (Pahiatua) to security priority for loans to Crown tenants up to £SOO failed, but the proposal drew from the Premier a statement that a £SOO maximum was being renewed. The department was now sending out an intimation that advances be made up to £IOOO, as applications for £SOO loans had now been satisfied. The Land Settlement Finance Bill was taken, progress was reported, and the House rose at 2 a.m.
