The various iirms are diligently circularising the settlers in the surrounding neighbourhood soliciting entries, and a good market, with spirited bidding is anticipated. A banquet to shareholders and auctioneers will be held after the sale, and at 8 o'clock in Mr Hattaway s boarding house. Tickets are being issued to 140 shareholders. After the dinner a social evening will be held to which the ladies are specially invited. The firms which have consented t.o operate are as follows: —The Farmers' Co-operative Auctioneering Co., Dalgety and Co.. and the Loan and Mercantile Agency Co.
