FOOTBALL.
Maniapoto Rugby Union. A meeting' of the above union was held in Mr Falvvasscr's olliee on Thursday evening last. Major Lusk occupied the chair. Mr G. Elliott was appointed referee for the Otorohanga-Tani hopuwai senior match at 11.00, Mr Eveleigh for the junior match Otorohanga v. Nehenehenui at I.l~>, and Mr Elliott tor the Te Kuiti-Nehe.nehenui senior match, to start at p.m. sharp. A request was received from the Rotorua Union that the Maniapoto Union should play them at Rotorua on the 13th inst. After discussion it was decided to write and ask the Rotorua Union to play the match on the H7ll| inst., which date would suit the Maniapoto Union better. It was also decided to ask the Rotorua Union for half the gate money taken at this match.
It was resolved that the gate money taken in the Te Kuiti-Taumarunui rep. match be donated to the Te Kuiti pbmain Board, less only hare expenses incurred in connection with the match. A further meeting will he held in Mr Falwasser's office't<o-piglit at 7.
