Speaking at tbe annual 7 general meeting'of the Hawke's Bay Farmers' Co-operative Association, Limited, tne chairman referred to the question of shipping meat Home direct, instead of selling outright. here. He said there was undoubtedly a risk in shipping Home direct but he thought that growers who did so would gain in the long run. , He had done so himself during the past season, with satisfactory results. The highest price he was offered hefre for sheep was 10s 6d, but he, consigned some Home and gained 3s 6d or 4s per head by doing so. Such a_ result could not be re/garded as anything but satisfactory. .
