It is officially announced that the second Royal toast at banquets will be "The Queen, Queen Alexandra, and the Duke of Cornwall, and other members of the Royal Family."
She Waikato Hospital Board has decided to be responsible for the maintainance of a cottage hospital, containing six beds, at Rotorua, provided the Government erects the building. It will also maintain an infectious diseases ward at Rotorua on the same conditions. Dr Valintine, InspectorGeneral of Hospitals, promised in return to get the Government to maintain the cottage hospital Viptil t£e end of the financial year, ipstead of calling upon the Board to take it over at once. 'Jjie Hospital Board is to be constituted the Health JSpard of tfre district; so as tp be responsible for all infectious diseases pnd sickness in its area. Stormy conditions and heavy rain continue in New South Wales, and it is bitterly eold. Snow has fallen in several places 08-tbe higlhands.
