Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., Auckland, report having held a very successful sale of horses at Otabuhu on Saturday, 28th May, as under: —There was a large entry of 125 horses of all classes and a large attendance of town and country buyers. The demand for good, fresh, young horses was good and the majority of these found new owners at satisfactory prices to the vendors. The consignment of heavy draught unbroken, three and four year colts and fillies from Palmerston North sold at £33, £3O, £2B 10s, £27, £l9 10s and £l6 10s. The Gisborne consignment of unbroken spring cart sorts sold at £8 t0,£17. Other unbroken horses sold at up to £3O, light draughts £l4 to £2O, light harness horses up to £26, hacks to £l2, inferior sorts at Visual prices.
