The Farmers' Auctioneering Co., Ltd., report:— At Matamata on Wednesday, 25th May, we yarded 600 sheep and 500 head of cattle. Fat cows £4 10s to £4 13s, fresh conditioned 3 year steers £5 7s 6d, 2\ and 3 year steers ,£3 17s to £4 10s, 18 month steers £3 3s to £3 7b, yearlings £2 2s to £2 12s 6>l, good calves 31s to 38s Gd, others 20s to 295, weak calves 16s, store cows 36s to £2 10s, aged cows 20s to 275, heifers in calf £4 to £4 19s 6d, backward sorts £2 15s to £3 12s, springing heifers £5 5s to £5 15s, fat wethers 16s 3d, ewes lis 3d, pigs, slips 10s fid to 12s, wcancrs 5s to 9s, fowls Is 4d, ducks Is 7d.
We had only a small yarding at Cambridge on Friday last. Fat cows £4 7s 6d to £5 12s fid, 3 year steers £5 ss, heifers in calf £3 15s, springing heifers £5 10s to £7 10s, yearling steers £2 2 i fid to £2 7s fid. pigs, slipa 10s to 12b, weaners 5b to 8s 6U,
