The Farmers' Auctioneering Co., Ltd., report:— We held our annual sale of cattle for turnip stocking at Ohaupo on Tuesday last, 17th inst, when we yarded 1910 head of cattle. There was a large attendance and spirited bidding throughout, with the exception of a few pens all changing hands. Forward conditioned bullocks £6 15s to £7 2s, one pen of practically fat cattle making £8 17s 6d, fleshy 3 year steers £4 18s to £5 10a, 3 and H year steer? £4 18s to £5 Bs, 21 year steers £4 3s to £4 13s, choice cafve3 35s to £2 2s, younger sorts 26s to 34-=, others 245, freshconditioned empty cows and heifers £3 5s to £3 15s, fat and forward cows £4 5s to £5, store empty cows and heifers £2 to £2 18s, 2 and year heifers in calf £5 2s 6d. About 1100 sheep were penned. Forward wethers 12s 3d to 13s 3d, store condition 10s lOd. ewe lambs 9s, wether lambs 7s 7d, mixed sexes 7s to 7s 9d, forward lambs 9s 4d,
