Dr. Fullerton Has been appointed Official Assessor in Te Kuiti and district to the New Zealand Insurance Company, and examining medical officer to the Government Life Insurance Deparment.

Mr. W. T. Jennings, M.P., visited Te Kuiti on Thursday, leaving by Friday's express for Auckland. He expects to pay ahpliday visit to Australia in about a fortnight's time. Mr. Slack, of Gisborne,, at one time proprietor of the Wairoa Guardian, is visiting Te Kuiti. He has toured the Auckland province on his motor bicycle, carrying his tent with him and camping where occasion suggests. Mr Slack found no very bad roads, except round Rotorua, where the heavy sand impeded travel, He can cover up to 100 miles a day, and says he finds the holiday tour bracing and invigorating.
