PERSONAL.
Mr. John Wilson, of the Wilson Portland Cement Co., Ltd., was in To Kuiti on Saturday. Mr J. W. Ellin, of Messrs Ellis and Burnand, Ltd., was in To Kuiti on Saturday. He recently returned from a tour through Canada, the United States, England, and the Continent, lie expresses himself as glad to bo back in New Zealand again.
Mr H. T. Gillies, of the firm qf Messrs Gillies and GilfiUan, has been appointed Crown solicitor for the Hamilton circuit of the Supreme Court, and will appear in that capacity at the opening sitting of the Supremo Court at Hamilton on the 28h mst, Mr W. J. HeU'oman, lately on the staff of the New Zealand Dairyman, is to visit Te Kuiti shortly in connection with a scheme for the making of home separated butter. Mr Heffernan in widely known in Waikato and other parts of New Zealand as an enthusiastic advocate of home separation rnpf.hpds fpr' butter, making, he is to lecture and visit various portions ofthe Waitomo County in pursuance of his campaign.
