A well-known Maori fanner named Tehuki was found dead near Masterton yesterday. He waa riding a halfbroken stallion, which apparently threw him and kicked him on the chest. After a lapse of two and a half years the Bernard's well-known combination is once again vibiting Te Kuiti with an up-to-date variety entertainment. The company comprises English and American artists; also a trained troup of American dogs, headed by "Whisky," the cleverest dog on show at the present time. The apparatus used in connection with the pictures is the latest, electrical machine, the only pne' pf the kind if) thp Dominion, projecting the latest star films. The company also include in their ranks acrobats, singers and dancers—in fact two shows in one.
