TE KUITI FIRE BRIGADE.
A meeting of the above brigade was held in the "Chronicle" Office on Monday evening last, a good muster of members being present. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. The inward correspondence was read and received
The secretary reported upon the rate of insurance per man for the members of the brigade. It wan resolved that as soon as funds permit, all members of the brigade be insured. Re the representation at the Annual Conference of the United Fire Brigades Association.— Captain Ford proposed and Fireman Pitcon seconded, that Foreman Nicholson lie miked to represent the brigade at the Conference. Foreman Nicholnon stated that he would be glad to represent, and do his best for the brigade at the Conferonce, should he be able to get away at that time.
New member. W. Davie was elected a member of the brigade on the motion of Fireman Fitzmarice, seconded by Fireman Kcelcy. Foreman Nicholson proposed and Fireman Fitzmaurico seconded that the secretary of the Sports Club be written to and asked to request his committee to postpone the date for receiving entries for the Fire Brigade event to Wednesday week, the Kith inst.—Carried.
Resolved that training be stalled and be gone in for each evening with the exception of Saturdays. Resolved that the notices of motion' tp be brought up at tlm Fire Brigades' Conference be left to Foreman Nicholson to use his discretion when aamo are being dealt with. Resolved that a special meeting bo called to discuss and confirm the bylaws, on Monday evening next, the Mth inst., at 7.00 o'clock.
