- The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, report: — At Oliaupo on Tuesday, the 4th inst., we had a small yarding of cattle, as is usually the case with the first sale after holidays; also 700 aheep, mainly one line of 4 and 6-tooth wethers, in very forward condiiton. Most of the catle were passed at auction, but good business resulted afterwards. The sheep, with the exception of two pens, failed to reach the reserve. We quote: steeds, £2 16s 8d; 15mphtl)9 steej;a, £2 7s'Jo £2 12s; yearling steers, £2 2s; pa'ives, mixed, IBs to £1 ss; empty cows, £2 15s |;o £3 12s 6d; dairy cows, up to .£5 ss; springing heifers, £4 7s 6d; aged bulls, £3 to £4 12s 6d; 4 and 6-tooth wethers, 13s 8d; pigs, slips, 12s 6d.
