The Farmers* Co-operative Auctioneering Company, Limited, report:—

At Tirau on the 6th inst, we. bad a yarding of 362 bead of cattle, 57 sbcep, 29 pigs, and a number of horses. Local farmers were requiring stock, competition was keen and good price* were obtained. Fat steers made £7 15s; fat cows £4 10s to £5; 2 1-2 year steers £4 12s fed to £5 ss; IS month steers £3 4s; 2 year steers £3 17s; 12 tto IS month steers £2 7s to £2 14s 6d; yearling heifers £1 16s to £2; bolls £3 3s to £6 16s6d; dairy of 29 cows put up in one lot made £5 7s; springing heifers £4 10* to £5; fat ewes lis eel; disc barrows £5; McCormick drill £l7; horses £7 to £l4 I 0».

At Obaupo on Decebmer 7th we had a yarding of 861 bead of cattle tnd 107 sheep. Competition was good for all classes of stock, and full values were obtained. Four year old steers store to fresh condition from £5 7s 6d to £6 2s 6d; fresh conditioned 3 year steers £5 5s to £5 16s; fresb two year steers £3 17s to £4; 18 month steers £3 6a to £3 7s 6d; fat and forward cows £3 19s to £4 10s; 12 to 15 month steers £2 12a 6d to £3; yearling steers not so well bred £2 5s to £2 8s; 18 month to 2 year heifers £3 to £3 7s 6d; cows witb calves £4 2s; choice dairy cows £8; others £4 10s to £5 15s; ewe hoggets in wool 14s; six tooth ewes in wool with lamb* 21s; dry ewes in wool 14s 9d.
