WAIPA RACING CLUB.
The Waipa Racing Club held its annual meeting at Tr Awamutu on Saturday under the meat favourable conditions. The attendance was large ami the racing good, white the general arrangements, thanks to the energetic secretary. Mr G. Spinley, were all that could be desired. The following are the* results :--
Handicap Hurdles. -R. Hannon's Master Paul 11.5, 1; is. Mackey's Luminator 10.7, 2; F. Higginson'a Hark aw ay 9.9, 3. Darkness also started.
Grcenhil! Handicap.—lf. Gibb's Caruaoß.il. 1; A. McFarlane's Romantic 9.13, 2; C. Wilson's Montpcltter 9.0. 3. Also started: Golden Gem and Emancipator. Tc Awamutu Cup.—E. Boucher's Fraulcin 9.5,1; E. Mackey's Luminator 7.13, 2: R. Hannon's Master Paul 9.4. 3. Also started: Recoil and Harkaway. This was a good race and coming up the straight it looked as if Luminator would beat Fraolein on the post. Maiden Plate.— G. Bettlev's Livonia 8.7, 1; H. Rcilfy's Tere 8.5. 2; L. Henning's Alicia 8.12, 3. Also started: Master Ben and Leonite. The latter horse fell at a bend in the course, his rider, however, escaping with a severe shaking. Handicap Trot.—F. McGovem's Bogey scr., 1: S. Qoinn's Mark Scot I4secs., 2: G. Paul's Orange Blossom ISsecs, 3. Afso started: Verfcecn, Bella Victor, Dorothy Dean, Miss Salisbury, Valda Salisbury and Gteneli. Flying Stakes.—E. Boucher's Prattle in 9.8, 1: H, Gibb's Caruso 7.10, 2: T.Davis' Frontino 8.13, 3. Also* started: Weka. Romantic, Dora, Emancipator and Recoil. Kibikihi Handicap.—J. Reilly's Westward Ho 8.7. 1: W. Simpson's Briaeus 8.4, 2; C. Hill's Darkness 8.3, 3. Also started: Ricochet, Te Wairo. Master Ben, Leon it c, Alicia and Punawat.
