Messrs Alfred Buckland and Company, Limited, report as follows: — We held our final *ale in the Remuera yards Thursday, when we disposed of an average number of stock of all classes at satisfactory prices. In future consignors will kindly forward stock to Otahubu saleyards siding. The sale will commence at 10 o'clock on Wednesdays for fat stock, and at 12 o'clock on Thursdays for stores. Yesterday dairy cows sold to £7 10s; dry to A"5 ss. Stores of all classes were required. Young and fal calves penned in moderate numbers sold readily from 3s to 625; three hundred and sixty f-t cattle were penned; prices were from £5 10s to £lO 5s for steers; cows £3 10s to £1 10s; wethers 22s 6d; lighter weights 15s; heavy ewes 16s 9d; others 13s. lambs good, 14s 3d; others 7s 6d to 12s. Pigs of all kinds were easier in value. Poultry Is 8d to 2s 4d.

We held our special Horse Sale at Ngaruawahia on Thursday 25th inst, when over 200 horses were offered, most of which were disposed of under the hammer, and most of the passed in lots were quitted later, making almost a total clearance of the yards. Good sorts of all classes were in great demand, for which there was animated competition. Buyers were in attendance from all parts of the district, also Auckland and a keen interest was taken in the sale from the first. Heavy draughts £23 10s to £35; half draughts £1? 10s to £23; hacks and light horses £7 10s to £l2 10s; ponies £3 15s to £7 10s; unbroken medium draughts £l6 to £2l 10s; unbroken 3 year draughts £25 to £26 10s; unbroken light £8 5s to £ll 10s; hacks £6 5s to £l6 10s; ponies £2 2s 6d to £4 10s.

The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, report as follows:—

At Rangiriri on Wednesday, we yarded 1236 head of cattle, all classes being well represented. With a large attendance of buyers from Upper and Lower Waikato, bidding was keen from start to finish, and every pen sold at auction, prices being quite up to late quuotations. Grown steers made from £5 10s to £6 2s; 3 year steers £4 15s to £5 3s; 2 year steers £3 8s to £3 16s; 15 to 18s month steers £2 15s to £3 3s; yearling steers £2 3s 6d to £2 10s; mixed yearling* 86s to 41s; fat steers £6 16s to £7 10s; fat cows £4 15s to £5 16s; empty cows in fresh condition £3 6s to £3 17s; 2 year heifers £3 2s to £3 12s 6d; yearling heifers £1 14s to £1 18s; ewes and lambs 15s to 17a 6d.
