STOCK SALES.
The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd.. report: We held oar annual bull sale and fortnightly stock sale at Obaupo on Tuesday, 2nd inat., when 176 bulls and 1370 store cattle and springers were penned. A good demand existed for one and two-year-old bolls, those with size and quality selling really well, and smaller ones nearly all sold at proportionate prices. Twelve to eighteen month steers. 3 Jtar steers with condition and empty cows and heifers in fresh condition, were eagerly competed for, and nearly the whole of the yarding changed hands at the baroroer. Eighteen montb shorthorn bulls well done made from 9 to 14 ft guineas, the top price being obtained for one of Mr T, C. Blackett's bolls; yearling bolls at to »4 gits.: small bolls 3| to 4| gns.; HeJstsin bolls £8 8s; 3J year steers In forward condition £ 10a to £6 14s; 3 year store steers £4 15» to £6 4s; two to two and a baJf year steers £3 7a fid to £3 17s; fifteen to eighteen month steers £2 15s to £3; fat cows £sto£& 17s 6d; cows in fresh con- ! ditto* £3 to £3 14s; 2 year heifers £3 |to £3 13s; cows in forward condition I£3 17s €d to £4 10s; springing heif- | ers £4 17s 6d to £6; dairy cows close to profit £5 5s to £8 2s 6d.
Messrs Dalgety and Company, Limi ited, report having held their usual fortnight? sale in the Cambridge yards on Friday the sth inst,. and a splendid attendance of buyers.
