"Te Kuiti 29th October, 1909. -Dear Sir, —The Provincial Executive of the Farmers' Union being deeply impressed by the present urgent need of Union among farmers and all others interested in Country pursuits and deeply regretting the small measure of support heretofore given to a Union of such immense importance to the Dominion at large have lately formulated and adopted a proposal for additional organisation. I have accepted the duty of introducing these proposals to Union Branches and farmers in the Taumarunui Electorate and do earnestly beg your co-operation and assistance. I feel certain that every intelligent and thoughtful landholder v.iil admit the desirability of securing strong and faithful representation of farmers interests in Parliament — above and independent of Party Pontics.
