Tnc opening day of the fishing season found the weather very unpropitious, heavy rain falling during the greater part of the day. At Te Kuiti on Monday morning Mr A. B. Jordan tried the river just below the bridge and in a short time landed thre? very nice fish, the largest being a four and a half pounder.
