[OTICE is hereby given that applications will be received at this office up to 4 p.m. of Thursday 21st. October 1909 from landless married men. but the Land Board has power to give preference to applications from retrenched Civil Servants and workers who have been dispensed with from the Main Trunk Railway and from road works. The land offered comprises about 85 section* in the Mapara and Tangitu S.D. and lies to the north-west of Waimeba Railway Station from which place the centre of the block is distant about 10 miles by pack track. There is also access by track from the WaimebaOngarue road. The land is mostly forest clad, portions being in heavy manuka, fern and scrub. Those applicants who may find it more convenient to do so, may present themselves to the Commissioner at New Plymouth for examination up to and including THURSDAY, 21st October; all other applicants must appear personally before the Land Board at the Town Hall, Taumarunui on TUESDAY, 26th October at 9.30 a.m. at which place the ballot or other distribution of the sections will be held. Plans wilt be available at an early date. Forms of application may be obtained at this office.
