The total quantity of wool catalogued for the sales just concluded in London, was 101, bales. Of this there were sold to Home buyers 60,000 bales, for the Continent 32,000 bales, for the United States 6000 bales, and held over 3500 bales. Compared with th j July sales good to medium greasy merinos were 10 per cent, higher; best scoured to faulty, 15 per cent.; and best crossbreds and shabbier top making sorts and slipes, 10 per cent to 15 per cent higher; medium slipc? -hiving the greatest advance.
