Sale of Sections.

On Tuesday last four sections in Te Kuiti township were offered for lease by Public Auction by the Maori Land Board under the usual township lease conditions. The term of lease is twenty-one years with perpetual right of renewal, revaluations to be made at the end of each twent-yone years, the improvements to belong to the lessee. Bidding was extremely brisk throughout the sale which denotes the fact that sections in the Te Kuiti township are eagerly sought after. Mr J. Seymour acted as auctioneer. Lot 11, block VI, lr Ip, upset rental of which was £5, went to Messrs Larritt and Young at a rental of £lB. Lot 17, block VI, lr 16p, upset rental £3, was knocked down to Mr Mabbett at £6 10s. Lot 12, block VIII, 28p, upon which the Town Hall stands, valued at £2OOO and rental £lO was retained by Mr Hetet, his being the only bid. Lot 1, block XXI, 29 perches, upset rental £2, \va3 taken by Mr Erikson, after keen bidding at a rental of £3l.
