OTOROHANGA.

Own Correspondent. A concert was held in Turner's Hall on Thursday September 30tb, under the auspices of the Presbyterian Church. The weather was very fine in the evening and a targe number of residents found their way to the hall. The Otorohanga Brass Band gave several selections in front of the halt prior to the Concert in a very creditable manner. The following programme was performed and received a very favourable reception by the audience, who in several instances insisted on an encore:- Overture, Misses Johnson and Ravn; song. "Qu:en of Angels," Mr Denison; scng, "Sleep and Forget," MrMaingay; recitation, selected, Mr McDonald, encored; song, "Tell me will my Dream come True," Mr C. J. Johnson; recitation, "The Old Blue Hill," Mrs Bacon, encored; comic song. "The Idol of Society," Mr Oldbury, encored; song, "How the Wild Winds Blow," Mr Fulton, encored; violin solo. Miss Ravn; trio, "Shepherds, Tell me have you seen my Flora," Misses Fulton, Johnson, and Maingay, encored; song, "Pretty Pond Lilies," Miss D. Burnand, encored; comic song, "The Plumber," Mr Oldbury, encored; song, "Daddy," Miss Johnson; song, "Star of Bethlehem," Mr Fulton, encored; song, "The four leaved Shamrock," Miss Morrisscy; song, "I'll be Cross, Arabella, I'll be Cross," Mr Denison; "God save the King." Before singing the National Anthem, Mr Ravn who presided thanked all performers for their kindness in assisting as well as the band who had helped to gather the people together, and thus contributed to the success of the evening.

The accompaniments were played by Miss Johnson in her usual skilful style.
