CRICKET.
Cricket promises to flourish at Te Kuiti this season. Steps are being taken to have the ground placed in order at once and the wicket should be fit for play next month providing the weather in the meantime does not prove too moist. The first trophy to be presented for competition among the cricketer» this teasoo is a bat, presented by the Rev. Morse for the highest batting average. it is •anticipated that an Auckland cricket team wilt be induced to visit Te Kuiti during the coming season, and an endeavour will be made to get together a combined Kinar Country team to visit the city. All players are requested to attend the general meeting of the Te Kuiti Club which is to be held on Friday next.
