Otorohanga Branch. ' j The ordinary monthly meeting of the - j above branch of the Farmers' Union j was held on the 10th inst. There • were present: Messrs John Ormsby, chairman, Ranby, Matthews, Buddpn, • Hargreaves, Vicary, and Quin, secret- ' ary and treasurer. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. Corresponence was dealt with as j follows: — From J. Wilson, the Dominion President, enclosing circulars for distribution among the members and others f regarding the recent Supreme Court i cases in Wellington of the N.Z. Far--5 mers' Co-opcrtaive Distributing Company, Limited v. The State Coal Department. —After considerable dir-cus- " sion H. Matthews moved that the I matter be left over until next meeting } in order to give members an opportun- . ity to study the case, and go into details of same before committing them--5 selves in any way. Wm. Vicary seconded the motion which was carried. » From If. Burchell re his member- £ ship in the branch. —On the moljon of H. Matthews, seconded by \V. Vicary T • the secretary was instructed to write 1 to Mr Burchell. —Carried. —New Members.--i The secretary proposed the following new members: —J. Willis, seedsman, Otorohanga; and W.
