TE KUITI GOLF BALL.

On Friday last Te Kuiti Town Hafl presented a brilliant scene, the occasion being the grand ball held under the auspices of the local golf club. Many visitors were present from Auckland, Waikato. and tin various King Country districts, there being about a hundred people on the floor. The floor was in perfect order, and the music, by Burke's orchestra from Auckland, was a treat to dance to. The hall was prettily decorated with flags and greenery, and, together with the beautiful costumes of the lad'es made a splendid picture. The supper which was served in a specially built annexe to the main building, was supplied in first class style by Messrs Green and Colebrook, several ladies of the club assisting. The supper room was beautifully decorated with fern and nikau. the general effect being highly creditable to those woo bad charge of this important branch of the function. The dances were kept well up to time, and a most enjoyable evening was spent, the last dance being got off shortly before 2 a.m. The duties of M.C. devolved upon Messrs Ak*rman, Broad foot, and Howartb, and were ably discharged.
