TOTICE is hereby given that the I Waitomo County Council propose at a Special Meeting to be held in Mr Ernest Kerr's Commercial Room at Tc Kuiti on MONDAY, the 20th September. 1909. to BORROW by way of Special Loan within the meaning of the Local Bodies Loans Act, 1908, a Sum of £SOO for the purpose of WIDENING AND METALLING that portion of the Otorohanga-Hangatiki Road commencing from the north-east corner of Section 9. to the southern corner of Section 2 of Block VIII, Orahiri Survey District. It is proposed to strike a Special Rate of Ud (ONE PENNY FARTHING) in the Pound on the basis of the Capital value of all Rateable Property in the Mataparu Special Rating District, comprising the whole of Sections 2, 3, 4, S. 6. 7, 8, 9. 10, and 11 of Block VIII, Orabiri;also Whareraurekau. Block and Oarhiri No. 1, Section 22 Block. Such Special Rate shall be an ANNUAL RECURRING RATE during tlic currency of such loan, and payable yearly on the 31st day of March in each and every year during the cur rency of such Loan, being a period of 41 years at 3J per cent, or until the Loan is fully paid off, and it is the intention to pay out of the Loan the cost of raising same and the first year's interest. NOTICE is hereby given that a Meet- -■» irsg of the Wattomo County Council will be held in Mr Ernest Kerr's Commercial Room at Te Kuiti on MONDAY, the 20th September. 1909, for the purpose of confirming or otherwise a Resolution adopted at a meeting of the Council held on the 16th day of August, 1909, as follows: "That a general rale under the provisions of Section 117, of the Counties Act, 109**. and the Rating Act, 1908, on the basis of the Capital Value of ONE PENNY in the Pound over the Te Kuiti Riding: ONE HALF PENNY in the Pound over the Waitomo awl Te Rau-a-moa Ridings; and ONE FARTHING in the Pound over the Otorohanga, Hangatiki, Mairoa, Paemako and Aria Ridings. Such Rate to be for the year ending 31st March 1910. and be payable to the Collector in one sum on the 30tb October, 1909 at the County Office, where the Rate Book may oe inspected during office hours.
