TE KUITI SCHOOL COMMITTEE.
A meeting of the above committee was held in the "Chroncile" office on Monday evening last, there being present: Messrs Sims, chairman; Dillicar, Niceholson, Chilcott and Matthew. The Minutes of the previous Meeting were read and confirmed. The outward correspondence was read and approved. The inward corespondence was read and received. The Chairman reported that Mr Chilcott and himself had paid the monthly visit to the school and on their suggestion it was decided that one or two small matters be attended to. It was resolved that the Chairman should write to th parents ot certain children who have not been attending school requesting that they should attend regularly. A letter was received from the Head Master, Mr Power, asking that the committee should forward a request to the Education Board for two probationer teachers, the present staff being inadequate. — Resolved that the Master's amplication to this effect, be endorsed. The Chairman and Mr Chilcott were appointed a visiting committee for the ensuing month.
