(Own Correspondent.) Starting at Ongarue yoo traverse the Matiere Riding for some 26 miles alonar the Ohura main road, which runs parallel to the route of the Oogroe— Stratford railway. The bridge across the Ohera at Matiere is being constructed under the order.-* of Mr Edgar, who hopes to have it open for traffic very soon. Osborne; and the booby priies were won by Mrs fl. Dear and Mr H. Olsen respectively Dancing was then indulged in. Mrs Hyde kindly supplying the music, extras being pfayid by Miss Cussin. During the *vening songs were rendered by Messrs Stanley, O'Brien, Cullen and Towers. Mr J. Phillips made a most efficient M.C. The ladies have decided to bold a basket social on Friday. August 20th. and will leave no stone unturned to make it a brilliant success.
