ADVANCES TO SETTLERS.
*- — Native Leaseholds. It is notified ir. last week's Gazette that land, as specified below, shall be sufficient security for a loan under the Advances to Settlers Act:—Maori lands which have been transferred in trust for leasing to and are held under leases from a Maori Land Board, under the powers contained in the Maori Lands Administration Act, 1900, and its amendments, and which leases have been granted for terms of not less than 21 years with the right of renewal for another term of 21 years, or for further terms of 21 years, and which leases contain the provisions set out in the regulations under the last-mention-ed Act for valuation and for improvements, and the provisions of section 1 40 of the principal Act shall apply accordingly.
