TE KUITI FIRE BRIGADE.

A meeting of the Brigade was ney; at the "Chronicle" office on Wednesday evening, Mr J. Boddie presiding. The chief business of the meeting was the discussion relating to the purchase of a plant and getting the Brigade established on a working footing. The chairman pointed out the financial postiion and it was decided to at once collect all moneys promised and make arrangements for buying a plant. A letter was received from Merryweather and Co. with referenc? to the purchase of a suitable plant. One new member was elected. The meeting decided to instruct the Secretary to write a letter of condolence and sympathy to Mrs Ormsby in her recent sad bereavement.
