TE KUITI SCHOOL COMMITTEE
A meeting of the above committee was held in the School on Monday evening last, there being present: Mr Sims.chairman, Messrs Chilcott, Nicholson, Dillicar and Matthew. Theminutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed.
The correspondence was read and approved and several accounts passed for payment The Chairman and Mr Matthew were authorised to sign cheques. Mr Chilcott drew attention to the fact that people were in the habit of throwing tins and rubbish of all kinds into the river. He pointed out that this custom was most dangerous to children when bathing. The chairman stated that he would interview the Chairman of the Waitomo County Council in connection with this matter. S -veral matters of minor detail were also dealt with. The next meeting of the Committee will be held in the "Chronicle" office on July 26th at 7.30 p.m.
