'A meeting of the Tc Kuiti Fire Brigade was held in the "Chronicle" office on Thursday evening, Mr Fortescuc presiding. The financial statement in connection with the rccrnt so- I cial was submitted and showed a sur- | plus of about £3. after all accounts bad been paid. A letter was read from Messrs T. H. Hall and Co.. agents of Merryweathcr, Limited, with reference to a supply of j fire preventative equipment. It was resolved to instruct the Secretary to write for price list and photographs of appliances. Further donations of ten shillings [ were received from Mc-«srs F. Halta- j way ind Forlescue. In the absence of Mr Boddic, it i was decided to meet again on Wedncsdiay night, when that gentleman would have returned from Wellington.
