Our monthly «** ll «"* P tace °" Saturday njigbe, when about the usual number of Maori* and settlers put in as appearance. A few from adjoining districts who bad been absent from many socials also attended. Mr Farmer contributed several songs and Master T. Terry a song. MrS. A. Cook gave a couple »f his amusing recitations and spoke one into Mr C. Forbes' graphaphone. Mr G. B. Bttddcn again proved an efficient M.C. Messrs Coe. Furobau, and Kobi provided excellent dance music. The next dance is to take place five weeks from Saturday, when a larger attendance is anticipated. The Rev. Ravn, who is to succeed Mr Bathgate, in corseting Divine Service here, on be hall of the Presbytertan Church, is cxpeted to visit the distirct shortly. Mr Bathgate mad.' himself very popular during his somewhat brief charge of the district, and ho carries the good wishes of all for his future success as a Medical Missionary.
