MANIAPOTO RUGBY UNION.
A mccing of the Maniapolo Kugby Union was held at Tc Kuiti on Wednesday evening. Mr J. B. Young. President, occupied the chair, and all the affiliated dobs were represented by delegates. Consideration of a notice of motion given by Mr Elliott, at a previous meeting was given. Tbc motion was in the direction of the Union providing a banner instead of caps, the name of the premier club in each season to be inscribed on the banner, which can only be won outright by any team securing the championship for three seasons in succession. After discussion the motion was carried.
Matters in connection with the trip to Hamilton on Saturday were discussed, and it was anonunccd that the team should journey from Te Kuiti by the 11 o'clock train, and return by the night train on Sunday. A special carriage will be provided on the return journey for the footballers. Tbc following fixtures were arranged :-
June 12.—Te Kuiti v. Mokauiti at Te Kuiti. Referee, Mr Elliott. Oparure v. Nehcnehenui at Oparure.— Referee. Mr Moorhouac.
