♦ A meetlnp of the Tc Kuiti Fire Brigade was held in the"Chronicle" office last evening. Mr J. Boddie presided, and there was a fair attendance of members. Matters in with the weujdisuussed, and pointed out that in consequence of various counter attractions and the the dpy originally aeleeted.May a public holiday, the attendance at the function would be seriously affected. It was finally decided to postpone the social till June 10th. The chairman explained tbat be had been endeavouring to obtain some assistance from firm uncreated in the placf. Mr Fortesvue signified his willingness to assist in the same manner.
