Regarding the dismissal of men from the Addington Workshops, the Kailway Department states that the men being dispensed with an> employees who were put on for carrying out special work. The work has now been completed. There had been a very large number of men employed in the workshops throughout the Dominion building rolling stock. The programme was now nearly completed, and the servics of the men were no longer required. No permanent hands bad been retired, except under the superannuation scheme.
